Lady Gaga had a shock when she went to use the toilet after her showstopping appearance on variety show Saturday Night Live this weekend (21-23Oct16).
She discovered her stylist, Brandon Maxwell, was so worried about an on-air wardrobe malfunction that he had glued her underwear to her private parts - and not for the first time apparently.
Talking to shock jock Howard Stern on Monday (24Oct16), the Poker Face hitmaker laughed about the incident.
"If I could throw my stylist, who I love so much, under the bus, for SNL the other day, he, from time to time, will glue my underwear to my… you know what… without even asking," she laughed.
"Brandon, he's getting me ready, and he never can watch when I go out (to perform) because he's so afraid something's going to pop out... He didn't tell me. He just did it," she revealed, sounding a little shocked.
The show went according to plan, with Gaga performing two songs from her new album Joanne - A-Yo and Million Reasons - after she was surprised by her A Star is Born director and co-star Bradley Cooper backstage.
But then Gaga hit the toilet for a bathroom break.
"And I'm like, 'What the f**k? I can't get my underwear off!'" she recalled with a giggle, adding, "Imagine if someone just glued your boxers to your d**k right before you went on stage. Like, can you just imagine?"
During SNL, Gaga appeared in a silver cowgirl outfit with sparkly hat, cropped top and fringed shorts, plus silver ankle-high cowboy boots, and also a white leotard with a long white coat. She maintained the cowgirl theme on leaving the studio in Manhattan, New York, wearing a racy pink and purple outfit comprising satin hot pants, a purple fur coat, rose-tinted sunglasses, and an enormous fedora.
Though Gaga said recently that she intended to tone down her outfits so that people would focus on her music instead, the rave reviews for Joanne seem to have inspired her to revisit her more traditional array of unusual, colorful outfits.
