Lady Gaga invited a fan on stage after he threw a letter to her during a concert in Glasgow, Scotland on Sunday (19Sep14).
The Poker Face hitmaker picked up the note from John McMillian and read it out loud to the 14,000 concert-goers at the city's SSE Hydro arena. In the letter, McMillian described his late mother Karen, who was a big fan of the pop star, and insisted the singer's music gave him comfort following her death.
Gaga was clearly moved by the emotional words and told the audience, "I believe that since making music, God was putting me together with my fans (sic). It was a big blessing on my life when I read a story like this (sic). I hope this boy's very brave story has touched all of you because it has really touched me."
Gaga then invited him on stage and dedicated Born This Way and Judas, Karen's favourite song, to him.
Before he rejoined the crowd, Gaga asked McMillian to join her backstage for a chat after the show.
He later told British newspaper the Daily Record, "It's still not sunk in. It doesn't feel real."
