Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington will be honored at the Giffoni Film Festival, one of Europe's largest film festivals dedicated to children and teenagers, in July (17).
The British actor who plays Jon Snow on the HBO drama will fly to Italy to accept the award and host a master class based on his work.
Speaking recently about his plans for the future when the Emmy award winning TV series Game of Thrones finishes, he told Esquire magazine: "Thrones nicely book-ended my twenties, but I'm 30 now. Maybe I can reinvent myself and get away from an image that’s so synonymous with Thrones. But maybe this was the role I was always meant to play and that was it."
The Giffoni Film Fest gives a group of children and teenagers from 52 countries the chance to meet film talent and take part in workshops during their time at the event.
As well as the 30-year-old actor, Bryan Cranston will also be honored this year.
In previous years the festival has hosted Jennifer Aniston, Robert De Niro and Mark Ruffalo.
The Giffoni Film Festival will be held 14-22 July.
