Kit Harington has filmed three "fake" scenes for Game Of Thrones to try and stop plot spoilers leaking.
The English actor will reprise his role as Jon Snow in the seventh series of the HBO fantasy-drama, which is set to premiere on Sunday (16Jul17).
As there has been intense interest in the upcoming shows, Kit has been sworn to secrecy about all storylines but has revealed that he has been involved in a number of scenes designed to stop fans from figuring out the narrative details.
"What I can say about this season is we had a lot of paparazzi following us around, especially when we were in Spain, but we did fake some scenes," he said during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday. "We put together people in situations where we knew the paparazzi was around so they'd take photos and they'd get on the Internet."
Kit revealed that he had shot three fake scenes that each took five hours to shoot, and had filmed them on his "day off". But he left host Jimmy hanging when asked about where the real scenes were shot, as he wished to keep on the good side of the show's writers and producers.
"They could write some pretty horrific stuff," Kit laughed. "They could humiliate me."
In celebration of Game of Thrones' return to TV screens, Kit and Jimmy also teamed up to give the audience a look at "never-before-seen Kit Harington screen tests".
In the spoof, Kit shined a light on the characters he could have played, and did his best impression of Lena Headey's character Cersei Lannister while sporting a blonde wig and holding a wine goblet.
"In the Game of Thrones, you win or you die. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to have sex with my brother," he smiled during his "audition".
Kit also did impressions of Maisie Williams' character Arya Stark, Peter Dinklage's Tyrion Lannister, and Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen, before dropping in a reference to boy wizard Harry Potter, from J.K. Rowling's famed book series.
