Rock band Kings Of Leon will donate the proceeds from their Las Vegas show on Friday night (06Oct17) to those affected by the mass shooting in the city.
Last Sunday (01Oct17), gunman Stephen Paddock opened fire on concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival in an attack which left more than 59 dead and 500 injured.
Now the rock band has followed in the footsteps of singer Celine Dion and pledged to donate the proceeds from their show at Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel & Casino show to Music City Cares, the city of Nashville's fund to provide support to the shooting victims, their families and first responders on the scene.
“Following the horrific events of this past weekend in Las Vegas, which have touched so many here and beyond, including members of our own Hard Rock Las Vegas family, we are honored to help the victims, their families and first responders for their heroic efforts,” Hard Rock Las Vegas' COO (Chief Operating Officer) Jody Lake said in a statement.
Celine recently collected donations from fans to help the American Red Cross following the devastation caused by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, donating all the proceeds from her Las Vegas concert on Tuesday.
Mike Tyson, The Chainsmokers and country act Florida Georgia Line are among the celebrities that have donated to the victims of the Las Vegas massacre.
