Kim Kardashian is struggling to style her daughter North West's curly hair.
Kim opened up about her inability to braid her three-year-old’s hair in a recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians which aired on Sunday night (30Oct16). The reality star admitted she can't do anything other than put the tot's tresses in a simple bun or a ponytail.
“It’s so difficult and my braiding skills are a disaster,” she said during the programme. “North is so proud of her curly hair but she’s very opinionated on how she wants to wear her hair, and as a mom you don’t want to tell her, ‘I don’t know how to do your hair.’”
In order to expand her hair styling repertoire, Kim has enlisted celebrity hairstylist Kim Kimble to teach her some new techniques, French braids in particular, which she attempts to recreate on a mannequin head.
In another scene of the show, Kim, who is married to rapper Kanye West, had her friends Malika and Khadijah Haqq come over to help her with the braids, but the 36-year-old once again bemoaned her ability as a stylist.
However, Kim claims to work hard on the braids and later proudly shows off North’s braids to her sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kendall Jenner.
“I worked so hard on these braids and it’s like such a fun experience in the morning,” she smiled. “I just like getting her ready and getting her hair done, I’m just excited for everyone to see them.”
While the episode was filmed in late July (16), North has been seen with her dark brown hair styled in braids and plaits, though it’s unclear if they’re the work of Kim or her long-time hairstylist Jen Atkin.
Meanwhile, Kim is reportedly filming scenes once again for her reality TV show, after she postponed shoots in the wake of the armed robbery in early October (16) which saw the celebrity bound and gagged at gunpoint before being robbed of millions in jewellery.
The star attended her husband Kanye’s concert in Los Angeles late last month (Oct16) along with a camera crew, her mum Kris Jenner, older sister Kourtney Kardashian and close friend Jonathan Cheban.
