Kim Kardashian knew her marriage to basketball player Kris Humphries was doomed because she wed for all the wrong reasons.
The reality TV star admits she began to "freak out" about being old and lonely after turning 30, so when the sportsman proposed in 2011, after a whirlwind romance, she said "yes".
Kim and Kris tied the knot in a lavish wedding that August (11), only for the now-36-year-old to file for divorce just 72 days later.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians beauty has now reflected on her second marriage, confessing she rushed into the union because so many of her friends were already starting to have families.
"I just thought, 'I'm 30 years old, I better get this together. I better get married,'" she recalled during an interview on Watch What Happens Live. "I think a lot of girls do go through that, where they freak out thinking they're getting old and have to figure it out, all their friends are having kids. It was more of that situation."
Kim has since found love with rapper Kanye West, and the couple, parents to daughter North and son Saint, celebrated its third anniversary as husband and wife last week (24May17).
"Happy three-year anniversary babe!," Kim shared on social media. "Thank you for being the best husband and father. I love you so much. I can't believe it's been three years!"
She recently gushed about her happy home life in a video post on her mobile app, in which she had nothing but good things to say about Kanye.
"I've definitely had my fair share of, like, dramatic relationships," Kim explained in the footage. "Honestly, this is, like, the most calm (relationship)... We're happy. There's just nothing to really report on."
