Kim Kardashian has launched a lawsuit against editors at MediaTakeOut.com over stories she fabricated her recent armed robbery ordeal.
The reality star was bound, gagged, and held at gunpoint in her private apartment in Paris, France, as thieves made off with jewelry and cellphones last week (ends07Oct16), and following the terrifying ordeal, website bosses reportedly suggested the 35-year-old had made up the story.
Now Kanye West's wife is now launching legal action.
Kim's legal team reportedly sent a letter demanding a retraction and an apology, but did not receive a response.
Bosses at the publication have yet to comment on the lawsuit.
The news emerges days after it was reported Kim had filed an insurance claim for 13 items of jewelry, totalling $5.6 million. Her second engagement ring from husband Kanye West - a 20-carat, emerald-cut diamond by Lorraine Schwartz, valued at $4 million - is said to be among the items stolen.
The mother of two has been laying low since the scare, and jetted back to her family base in Los Angeles on Thursday (06Oct16) after spending time with Kanye in New York.
The rapper postponed a pair of shows last week (begs03Oct16) to remain by his wife's side, but he resumed his Saint Pablo Tour in his native Chicago, Illinois on Friday (07Oct16).
Meanwhile, Kim's family reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, has been placed on an indefinite hiatus as she continues to recover from the terrifying ordeal.
