Kim Kardashian has confirmed that she and husband Kanye West are preparing to add another daughter to their family.
The couple, who are already parents to four-year-old North and son Saint, who turns two next month (Dec17), had been widely rumored to be expecting a baby girl via their surrogate. And as she filmed an interview for TV program The Ellen DeGeneres Show, to air on Wednesday (15Nov17), Kim confirmed the happy news.
Speaking to Ellen about throwing a baby shower last weekend, Kim revealed that North had a novel idea when faced with all the gifts bought for the family for the impending arrival.
"People brought toys and gifts and she was opening them all up the next day and she said, 'Mom, since baby sister's not here, I think I need all of her toys in my room and I'll play with them and just make sure they're all okay for baby sister,'" Kim smiled.
Kim isn't the only member of the Kardashian family reported to be expecting a bundle of joy. Her sister Khloe is reportedly expecting her first child with boyfriend Tristan Thompson, while half-sister Kylie Jenner is believed to also be having a girl with her beau, rapper Travis Scott.
However, when asked about the rumored pregnancies by Ellen, Kim was careful to stay tight-lipped.
"I'm going to break it down - this is how we work in the family," she explained. "When there are lots of rumors we have these family group chats and we threaten each other's lives and we speak for the other one, so for the safety for my life...
"We just decided there's so much that goes on that we respect each other's right to speak for themselves, so I will speak about myself, and hopefully they can come on and address whatever rumors you might have."
