Kevin Hart has reportedly installed new anti-theft technology after a $500,000 (GBP371,000) burglary at his home earlier this month (Jun16).
The 36-year-old comedian was in Miami, Florida at the time of the incident, when robbers broke into his house in Tarzana, California, and made off with a haul including jewelry, watches and clothes.
When he arrived home, he found his property in disarray and reported the theft to police, who began scouring the surveillance video for clues about the identities of the suspects involved in the robbery.
Now the Ride Along star is said to have enlisted the help of his security firm to make his abode more secure in a bid to avoid any similar incidents occurring in the future.
"His security firm has been putting in some new technology in and around his home to prevent any future mishaps," a source told the New York Post's gossip column Page Six.
The outlet adds that Kevin has already begun getting the stolen jewelry replaced by Rafaello & Co, but isn't too worried about some of the other thefts.
"They took so much stupid stuff. They took a pair of my jeans - ain’t nobody going to fit these jeans!" the diminutive actor joked.
Following the burglary, law enforcement sources told TMZ that it could be linked to the other recent celebrity robberies throughout Hollywood, where robbers have targeted the homes of stars including Chris Brown, Scott Disick and Blac Chyna.
The incidents echo the infamous Bling Ring gang, who stole clothing, jewelry and money from stars' homes while they were at parties and events in 2008 and 2009.
Meanwhile, Kevin opened up about his impending wedding to Eniko Parrish in a recent interview, admitting he is planning to dye his hair ahead of his August nuptials.
"I'm turning into Morgan Freeman," he told Entertainment Tonight of his greying locks. "I don't know what's going on. I think my older age is just going straight to my hair… It's weird because only half of it goes grey, so it's like I turn into this weird villain that didn't make it to Marvel.
"I have to dye it to black, (but) only when I have events. Other than that I don't care. It is what it is."
