Rapper Kendrick Lamar teamed up with legendary musician Prince in a recording studio but they ran out of time before they could cut a track together.
The Swimming Pools hitmaker worked with the Purple Rain star during a visit to his Paisley Park Estate in Minneapolis, Minnesota last year (14).
Time constraints meant a track never came to fruition and therefore could not appear on Lamar's latest album To Pimp A Butterfly, which was released last month (Mar15), although Prince did give him some valuable advice.
Lamar tells radio station Hot 97, "We was vibing, but we was pressed, (for time) man. I didn't trip (fret) over getting a song done. I really appreciate the actual game he was giving me... He took control of his music. He was breaking down some things that I need to consider in my career. Just really taking control of your creativity."
