Kendall and Kylie Jenner are set to return to the literary world with another installment of their young adult novel franchise.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians stars made their writing debut in 2014 with Rebels: City of Indra, a science-fiction novel featuring twin sisters Lex and Livia, and on Monday (23May16) the siblings announced the fictional duo will be back in their new book Time of the Twins.
"We love this world and these characters," Kendall said in a statement. "It’s been so fun to tell their story and we are excited to share it with our fans."
"In our first book, Rebels: City of Indra, we left Lex and Livia in a place where their future was uncertain," Kylie added. "Now, in Time of the Twins, you’ll learn how these sisters struggle to get to know each other and deal with their fate."
The sisters will also search for their mother, who they previously believed to be dead, in the new story.
The Jenner girls will be hoping the follow-up is better received than the 2014 original, which the critics savaged. Even fans turned on the wannabe authors with several readers taking to Amazon.com to complain the book was "garbage" and "laughable". One added: "The trees that died to make the paper for this book would have been better off as toilet paper."
Time of the Twins, which will be co-written by Katherine Killmond and Elizabeth Killmond-Roman, is scheduled for release on 15 November (16).
The young adult series isn't the only business venture Kendall, 20, and Kylie, 18, have embarked on - they are the designers behind The Kendall & Kylie Collection for retailer PacSun, and they have a jewelry line under celebrity jeweller Pascal Mouawad's Glamhouse brand, and a shoe and handbag collection for Steve Madden's Madden Girl line.
