Actress Keira Knightley has been unveiled as the new face of Chanel jewelry.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star has been a firm favorite of the French fashion house, and creative director Karl Lagerfeld, for a number of years, acting as the face of its Coco Mademoiselle perfume and Rouge Coco lipstick.
On Monday (20Jun16), it was revealed the 31-year-old had made the move from cosmetics to accessories, modeling the brand's fall 2016 collection.
Shot by acclaimed photographer and regular Chanel collaborator Mario Testino, the mother-of-one can be seen sitting sideways on a chair with her arm resting on its back and her head in her hand.
As she stares off into the distance with her hair scraped back off her face with a hair band, Keira wears a statement gold and silver necklace, a bangle and multiple rings on her fingers in the same metallic hues as the chain.
By taking on the jewelry campaign, Keira - who welcomed daughter Edie in May, 2015 with husband James Righton - is following in the footsteps of models including Sigrid Agren and Jac Jagaciak.
Keira's relationship with Karl, 82, goes back a long way, with the German even designing her short tulle wedding dress when she tied the knot with James in 2013, and the actress has spoken in the past about how much she admires him, as a person and for his craft.
"Karl’s amazing," she told Harper's Bazaar. "He's an avid reader. And he speaks about five different languages. So he’ll be rattling English to you and French to somebody else, and German to somebody else, and then the phone rings and he's speaking in Italian."
