Katy Perry gets arrested for stripping off in a polling station in a Funny Or Die voting sketch.
The Roar singer, a vocal supporter of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, released a teaser picture of the video on Monday night (26Sep16) ahead of the first televised debate between Clinton and Trump and teased fans they would see her "vote naked" on Tuesday (27Sep16).
She has now released the comedy sketch on Twitter, in which she encourages the public to vote by telling them they can go to the polling station wearing whatever they like, as she gets out of bed and walks to vote in white pajamas printed with a pattern of the flag, and messy hair filled with pieces of popcorn and a lollipop.
"Hi I'm Katy Perry, you know, November 8th is election day and I've got some great news," she says in the video, in a chirpy infomercial-style voice. "This year you can look like s**t when you vote.
"Yep, I've briefly scanned the constitution and nowhere does it say you can't just roll our of bed and come to the polls in whatever state you woke up in. In the name of democracy, any out-of-bed look is A-OK."
After listing different looks people are wearing at the polls, Katy strips off her pajamas and gets completely naked, and two thick black bars are used to cover her modesty.
"Or if you're like me, I sleep naked," she joked. "Yep, let those babies loose cos no-one ever said..." as two police officers arrest her for being naked. They place her in the back of a cop car, where she joins Community actor Joel McHale, who also seems to have tried to vote naked too.
To end the sketch, Katy sticks her head out of the car window and says, "Scratch that, gotta wear clothes. See you at the polls November 8th!"
It concludes with a reminder to vote, whatever you wear, and to take a pledge at Rock the Vote.
