Fantastic Four star Kate Mara would love the chance to star in a sequel.
The actress portrayed Sue Storm and her alter ego The Invisible Woman in the 2015 reboot, which was savaged by critics and became one of the year's biggest box office flops.
The stars - Mara, Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell - were initially knocked back when the film failed to win over fans upon its release, but now the actress has joined castmate Teller in issuing a plea to bosses at 20th Century Fox to push ahead with stalled plans for a sequel.
"Oh yeah, I'd love to be a part of a Fantastic Four sequel or whatever they may or may not have in store for us," she tells America's IGN.com website.
Fox bosses pulled a planned sequel from their release schedule after the film's dismal opening, but the 33-year-old actress wants to reunite with her castmates.
"I know that all of the guys feel the same way, we love working with each other and we would love to actually play these characters in another way somehow in the future," she says. "I would be really happy to do it."
Miles, who played Reed Richards, aka Mr Fantastic, in the film, also recently indicated a willingness to return, telling JoBlo.com, "I loved the cast, I loved the characters. I think it's such an interesting dynamic. I love how much they (characters) really need to rely on each other... So, yeah, absolutely, I would do another one."
The film's producer Simon Kinberg has also indicated a willingness to make a sequel, although 20th Century Fox executives have been silent on whether they plan to continue the franchise in its current form.
