Kanye West has broken his silence after he was met with fierce criticism over his new Yeezy fashion show.
The rapper-turned-designer took over part of Roosevelt Island to stage his latest clothing collection on the eve of the official launch for New York Fashion Week, and guests including his wife Kim Kardashian, her half-sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner and Kylie's boyfriend Tyga, were there to show their support.
However, Kanye was met with criticism after his show on Wednesday (07Sep16) didn't go according to plan.
Streamed live on Jay Z's Tidal service, the Yeezy Season 4 fashion show was delayed by more than an hour, and at least one model fainted due to the sweltering heat.
Others were seen sitting on the ground as water bottles were passed around, and one model, identified on social media as Amina Blue, was shown kicking off her heels as she got to the end of the makeshift runway.
The hip-hop star has now acknowledged the criticism with cryptic posts on Twitter alluding to his creative genius behind the collection, which was a collaboration with sportswear giant Adidas.
"It’s our life's mission to create the most transformative experiences," he wrote on Friday (09Sep16). "Each and every one’s time, insight and feelings are invaluable to us. We want to make people feel great.
"Thank you for embarking on this creative journey. With love and respect, Kanye West.”
The Yeezy Season 4 show took place seven months after Kanye's last fashion unveiling in February, when he showed off his Season 3 designs at Madison Square Garden during an event which doubled as a listening party for his The Life of Pablo album.
