Kanye West has apologised for leaving audience members waiting outside in freezing temperatures when his New York Fashion Week show ran late.
The hip-hop star unveiled his latest clothing line, a collaboration with sports brand Adidas, at a runway event in the Big Apple on Thursday (12Feb15), but preparations overran and the doors did not open until half an hour after the show was due to start.
Attendees were left queuing outside in the freezing wintry weather, while fans due to watch the show via a live stream in cinemas were also kept waiting, and West has now said sorry for his tardiness.
He tells Style.com, "I apologise that people had to wait. That's definitely not something I did on purpose. I actually had no idea what time it was. I wasn't looking at the clock or in charge of that... So I apologise for the wait, to the people that had to actually wait at the New York fashion show. I apologise to the kids that had to wait in the 42 theatres where we streamed the show across the globe, I apologise to them for the wait... I'm sorry. I'm a human being... I'm not always on time."
