Rapper Kanye West and his reality TV star wife Kim Kardashian continued their tour of the Middle East by visiting a sacred site in Israel on Tuesday (14Apr15).
The couple flew into the country on Monday (13Apr15) to have their 22-month-old daughter North West baptized in the city of Jerusalem, and they continued their religious-themed trip on Tuesday with an early morning visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
The site is believed to be where Jesus Christ was crucified and buried, and Kardashian shared pictures of the lavishly-decorated Altar of the Crucifixion on Instagram.com and added, "Good morning Jerusalem! We woke up really early to see the site where the crucifixion of Jesus Christ took place."
She added a further picture showing her and West kneeling at the altar, where visitors traditionally pray to the holy Christian figure while touching a sacred rock.
The couple, along with Kardashian's sister Khloe, began their trip in Armenia, the TV family's ancestral home, last week (ends12Apr15). They met the country's prime minister and honored the victims of the Armenian genocide. The tour is being filmed for reality series Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
