Jonah Hill once mistakenly emailed his food diary to Drake instead of his nutritionist.
The actor and comedian put on weight for his role in the upcoming biographical film War Dogs, in which he plays real-life arms dealer Efraim Diveroli. But after the shoot had wrapped, he decided to get in better shape and called his friend and 22 Jump Street co-star Channing Tatum for advice.
“And so he gave me the number of these guys and I went to this nutritionist and the doctor was like, ‘Do me a favor and write down what you eat every day and email it to me at the end of the day,’” Jonah explained during an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (02Aug16).
“So, one night I was just like at home and I was bored, and I was like, ‘Oh I didn’t email this guy’... I was looking like an hour later through my sent messages… and I had sent it to Drake.”
Jonah added he was very embarrassed to have sent the Canadian rapper, who he claims to have met only once, a list of what he had eaten that day. He said the email read along the lines of “yoghurt, salad, chicken”, and was simply signed off at the end with “Jonah”.
But the One Dance performer apparently saw the funny side of the message and responded to Jonah immediately.
“He wrote back, ‘You went from zero to a hundred calories very quickly,’” he laughed to host Jimmy.
Jonah, 32, joked that he hopes not to run into Drake anytime soon, as he still feels awkward about the incident.
“Another guy I’ve got to duck for the rest of my life,” he quipped, adding, “(I’ve got) a long laundry list of people I can never speak to again.”
