A representative for the new Pirates Of The Caribbean movie has dismissed reports suggesting filming has been pushed back again to accommodate injured star Johnny Depp as he recovers after hand surgery.
Depp left the film's set in Australia last month (Mar15) and returned to the States for an operation on his hand after sustaining an injury during his time Down Under, and the shoot was put on hold until he was able to return.
The actor was believed to have been due back on set last week (ends19Apr15), but he was not present, sparking rumours the shoot had been pushed back again.
However, Michael Singer, a spokesman for the film project, has now clarified the reports, insisting Depp's return is still on schedule and filming will continue as planned.
He tells the Sydney Morning herald, "Johnny Depp is on schedule for what and when he is required to film. He's been in recuperation from the surgery and I'm assuming it's coming along extremely well. The next step is for us to continue making a fifth edition to one of the most popular franchises in film history."
