Joe Jonas has laughed off gossip suggesting he dyed his hair blue as a reaction to his recent split from model Gigi Hadid.
The former Jonas Brothers star debuted his striking new style at the American Music Awards on Sunday night (22Nov15), sparking speculation he had embraced a kooky new look in a bid to move on from his broken romance.
However, Joe is adamant changing his image has nothing to do with his break-up.
"It's pretty funny. I think I've learned to laugh it off when... (fans) create their own stories - even out of your hair..." he tells Pridesource.com. "I don't think (it was a reaction to the break-up)... I just did it because I wanted to do it - there really wasn't a deeper meaning to any of it, which is why I think it's really funny...
"I like having blue hair. I don't think I feel any different; it was just a spur-of-the-moment decision anyway. But I'm not gonna react or go after the press about it because I just find it funny."
Joe and Gigi split earlier this month (Nov15) following a whirlwind romance, which started over the summer (15).
During the interview, Joe also addresses gossip over a potential Jonas Brothers reunion, after the singing siblings went their separate ways to work on their own music projects.
"We don't really ever wanna say never to anything just because there could be something that comes along our way that we might say, 'You know, let's try working on this song together.' It's tough to say that we'll never do it because who knows... Time itself (might reunite us). Seeing where things will lead us. It's easy to say we're done and that we're never doing it again, but then we both look at each other and go, 'We obviously get along.' And who knows - years from now we could be like, 'All right, let's make a record. It could easily happen."
Joe, Nick and Kevin disbanded the Jonas Brothers in 2013 - Nick has since gone solo and Joe has formed a band called DNCE.
