Jessica Chastain is hoping for a little more luck after her successes in 2011 because it took years for any of her movies to be released.
The actress, who won acclaim for her roles in The Debt, The Help and The Tree of Life last year, felt sure there was a Hollywood "Chastain curse" hanging over her after only one of her first 11 movies hit the big screen in a four year period.
And now she's glad she has shaken it off after enjoying a stellar 2011.
Speaking on the red carpet at the Golden Globes on Sunday, she said, "I made my first movie four years ago and I had made 11 movies before one came out in the movie theatre. I thought there was a Chastain curse."
But good things come to those who wait - Jessica has been nominated for most major awards for her turns in The Tree of Life and The Help, and her mantle is already groaning under the weight of a raft of critics awards she has already picked up.
Unfortunately she lost out on a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture to her The Help co-star Octavia Spencer.
While chatting on the red carpet, she also confirmed that she is currently in talks to play the late Princess Diana in a big screen biopic of the tragic royal's life.
