Rap mogul Jay-Z has another high-powered job to add to his resume after he was appointed director of the Barclays Center in New York.
The huge arena is currently under construction in Brooklyn, and will house the Brooklyn Nets, a professional basketball team he part owns.
In papers filed to secure the venue's liquor license, he is named as one of seven directors for the Brooklyn Arena LLC, the company behind the Center, and will attend senior staff meetings, according to the New York Post.
It's just one of the many power projects the star is involved in - earlier this week (begs11Jun12) he announced a partnership with Duracell and Proctor & Gamble to market wireless charging systems which will deployed across New York hotspots, including his own exclusive 40/40 club.
