Actor and chat show host James Corden is taking his 'Carpool Karaoke' TV skit on the road after scoring his musical hero Chris Martin as a passenger.
The Late Late Show host's frequent skit, in which he and a special guest sing along to hits while driving around Los Angeles or London in a car, has landed him a spot with Adele, Mariah Carey and Justin Bieber in recent weeks - and he has Sir Elton John lined up for a special show after the Super Bowl next month (Feb16).
But Corden is more excited about the fact the singer of his favorite band Coldplay has agreed to join him for a road trip.
"It's more of a road trip than it is a Carpool in many ways," the Into The Woods star tells EW.com. "I'm such a fan of his (Martin). I'm a fan of that band - they mean the world to me. It was very funny. He brought a keyboard over, and it involved an overnight stay. It was fun."
The odd couple's carpool get together, set to air in America on 1 February (16), will reportedly feature a tribute to late rock icon David Bowie.
