Jake Gyllenhaal is reportedly reuniting with filmmaker Daniel Espinosa for a movie about the Syrian conflict.
The Nightcrawler star optioned the rights to Seth Harp's Rolling Stone article The Anarchists Vs ISIS and is planning to adapt the piece into a film, according to Deadline.com. Gyllenhaal will reportedly star in the film, which Espinosa will helm.
The 36-year-old will also serve as a producer on the project.
Harp's article, which was published last month (Feb17), centers on the team of American volunteers who are fighting along with Kurdish militia YPG to defeat terrorist group ISIS in Syria.
Gyllenhaal and Espinosa worked together on his new film Life, which is out Friday (24Mar17).
