Iggy Azalea promises fans she won't get "burnt out again" when performing her new music.
The Australian star is gearing up to release her second album Digital Distortion later this year (16), with Iggy already teasing new songs from the record. In May 2015 the rapper cancelled her The Great Escape Tour, revealing she'd had a change of heart and was planning to take a break in order to recuperate. Now she's gathered her thoughts and figured out her true sound, Iggy's determined to do her fans justice after previously letting them down.
"u know im going to be doing ALOT of shows promoting the new music. i think any time someone new hears the song its a good thing" she wrote to a fan on Twitter.
"im really more interested in going on shows were i can perform the song live, not shows were u just talk.
"yup, i just like live performances because new ears hear the song, its important to me to have balance & not get burnt out again (sic)".
The user, called @kremyewest, also commented on how much he loves Iggy's TV performances. The blonde star took part in James Corden's Carpool Karaoke last year (15), delighting fans by belting out her biggest hits along with trying on wedding dresses ahead of her nuptials to Nick Young.
"i hope so i def wanna do some more fun things like car pool karaoke again - i had so much fun doing that. (sic)" she responded when the follower pointed out that her new album will allow people to see her on a more personal level.
Iggy confirmed she has some shows booked, but that the dates won't be announced until later. She also set the record straight once more when another Twitter user quizzed her on what the "burnt out" comment meant.
"i mean mentally and physically exhausted, thats why i cancelled my tour last year member? (sic)" she wrote.
