Singer Idina Menzel's new Broadway musical If/then is to close when the star's contract ends in March (15).
Menzel will have been onstage with the production for almost a year when the curtain comes down for the final time on 22 March (15).
The Frozen star recently credited the show, about a city planner who relocates to New York after a marriage split, with helping her heal after her own relationship with then-husband Taye Diggs ended.
She told WENN last year (14), "This whole year has been personally a little bit more challenging for me... Thank God I have music and a play that I'm in on Broadway, If/Then, every single night that actually is a really great opportunity for me to work through some of the emotions that I have."
The show began previews at the Richard Rodgers Theater on 5 March (14), and officially opened on 30 March (14).
Initial reviews were mixed but Menzel's loyal Broadway fanbase turned out in their droves to support the actress/singer.
However, box office receipts began to decline in the summer (14).
