Harry Styles' new recordings are so top secret even the hitmaker he's working with has no idea what the One Direction star is planning to do with them.
Ryan Tedder has urged the pin-up's fans not to get their hopes up for a solo album, because he isn't sure what Harry is going to do with the songs they have been working on this year (16), during the first six months of a One Direction hiatus, which is expected to last until the middle of next year (17).
The OneRepublic frontman has revealed he and Harry have been working on a number of new tracks, telling radio network Key103, "We've done a couple of things, I have no idea what they're for. I don't know if he's doing an album, I truthfully don't."
But there is one thing Tedder is sure of - Styles' songwriting skills.
"He's (Styles) a phenomenally talented writer," adds the man behind global hits for Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce and Adele. "You know they say you can't judge a book by its cover, but clearly the man has taste in a number of areas and that also is true with writing.
"He's just a chill guy. I don't think I've met anyone with that level of fame that is that unaffected by it... I would love to write with him in the future for no other reason than he is one of the chillest dudes I've hung with and down to earth."
Styles has put his music career on hold for the time being after signing on to join the cast of Christopher Nolan's World War Two movie Dunkirk.
