Harry Potter fans will have the chance to read another installment in J.K. Rowling's wizard series when her new play is published as a book.
The author revisits the story of her boy wizard in upcoming stage show Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which is set is set 19 years after the events of the final novel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and focuses on Harry's son Albus as he starts school at Hogwarts.
Fans rushed to snap up tickets for the two-part theatre production ahead of its debut in London this summer (16), but now it has emerged that the story will also be published in book form.
The play's script, written by Jack Thorne and based on a short story by Rowling, will be published as an eBook via the author's Pottermore website and as a hardcover edition.
The play, which will be told in two parts on separate nights, opens for previews on 7 June (16) at London's Palace Theatre ahead of opening night on 30 July (16). The book will be released a day later on 31 July (16), the date Rowling chose as Harry Potter's birthday in the series.
