Halsey pulled no punches when she clapped back at a fan who questioned her feminism following her shoot for adult magazine Playboy.
On Wednesday (23Aug17), Halsey shared a snap of her Playboy cover and her similarly flesh-flashing Flaunt cover on her Instagram page, captioning it: "Not-so-covered cover girl".
While the majority of fans praised Halsey for the artistic pictures, one slammed her for going against her morals by posing for publications such as the notoriously revealing Playboy.
"You are a feminist but you flash your boobs in Playboy magazine,” the fan wrote.
However, unwilling to accept that, Halsey responded: "Yeah it’s crazy. I can show my t**s in Playboy, perform at the Nobel Peace, speak at the Planned Parenthood Gala with Hillary Clinton, shake my a*s on 300 stages, give a speech at the United Nations, do 150 shots of tequila, get a #1 album, and march in the streets of DC all in just ONE year! Newsflash. A woman can be multi dimensional #WeAreNotJustOneThing."
She then shared a screenshot of the conversation, alongside the caption: "JUST so we are f**king CLEAR."
Halsey's Playboy shoot sees her stripping down to her Calvin Klein bra and briefs, while in another snap she goes bra-less in a sheer pink bodysuit. It was alongside this picture that the 22-year-old singer discussed her bi-racial heritage and how people often get confused when she gets naked.
"I look white, but I still have white boys in my life asking me why my nipples are brown," she told the magazine for their Music issue. "I look like a white girl, but I don’t feel like one. I’m a black woman. So it’s been weird navigating that. When I was growing up, I didn’t know if I was supposed to love TLC or Britney (Spears)."
