Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot would jump at the chance to romance Halle Berry in a sequel to her upcoming movie.
Longtime Wonder Woman comic book writer Greg Rucka recently expressed his belief that the character would have had all-female relationships, and Gadot agreed last month (Oct16), admitting her version of the Amazonian princess-turned-superheroine could be played bisexual. And now she has put forward Halle Berry's name as her love interest in a proposed Wonder Woman follow-up, reports batman-news.com.
"I saw her the other day, Halle Berry," the actress recalled on Israeli TV show Good Night with Guy Pines. "She's so beautiful. Wow! She's gorgeous! So... yeah, I could do it (a sequel) with her."
Gadot made her debut as Wonder Woman and her alter ego Diana Prince in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice earlier this year (16), and reprises her role for a stand-alone movie set for release in June (17).
Addressing Rucka's comments about Wonder Woman's sexuality, she told Variety magazine, "She's a woman who loves people for who they are. She can be bisexual. She loves people for their hearts."
However, Gadot will not be locking lips with anyone other than Chris Pine, who portrays her male suitor Steve Trevor, in the forthcoming DC Comics epic.
"It's not something we've explored," she explained about the upcoming film, directed by Patty Jenkins. "It never came to the table, but when you talk theoretically about all the women on (Wonder Woman's mythical homeland) Themyscira and how many years she was there, then what he (Rucka) said makes sense. In this movie she does not experience any bisexual relationships."
Gadot, who is expecting her second child, will also reunite with Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman in next winter's (Nov17) Justice League blockbuster.
