Actress Emmy Rossum is celebrating after becoming Mrs. Sam Esmail.
The Phantom of the Opera and Shameless star tied the knot with Mr. Robot writer/director Sam in an intimate ceremony in New York City on Sunday (28May17), during America's Memorial Day holiday weekend, reports People.com.
The nuptials took place a day after Emmy and Sam posed for photos with their families during a pre-wedding rehearsal shoot at Sutton Place Park in Manhattan on Saturday (27May17), when the bride-to-be wore a lacy cream-colored dress with strappy silver heels, while her fiance donned a blue suit.
Emmy, 30, became engaged to Sam, 39, in August, 2015 after two years of dating. They worked together on 2014 film Comet, in which the actress starred alongside Justin Long.
The bride revealed she had turned to designer Carolina Herrera to create her wedding dress in February (17), as she attended New York Fashion Week, and admitted she was taking a laid-back approach to planning her big day.
"We haven't done any (fittings)," she told E! at the time, insisting she had complete faith in Herrera's designs, which she has previously worn for various red carpet events. "She's got it. There's no rush. She can turn it around in a day. I'm not concerned."
And, unlike many brides, Emmy confessed she wasn't too concerned with the finite details of her wedding celebrations.
"I don't really care what the dress looks like," she said. "I don't really care what the plates look like. I don't really care what the invitation looks like. The only thing that's really important to me is that we get married and there's some kind of party.
"Weirdly, I feel like so many times in my life are about dressing up for a film premiere or a fashion show so this is the one time in my life where I'm actually not that focused on details."
It's Emmy's second marriage - she was previously wed to music executive Justin Siegel from 2008 to 2010, while she also dated Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz.
