British pop star Ellie Goulding is helping fans get fit and healthy this year (15) by teaming up with Nike for the sports giant's new training app.
The Burn hitmaker, a keen runner, has helped Nike officials design a new 15-minute exercise regime for their Nike+ Training Club app, incorporating all of her favourite fitness moves to give users a full body workout.
Discussing the A Melody of Movement campaign, which celebrates women's fitness, Goulding says, "I feel quite proud to be an ambassador for women who realise that being fit is better than being skinny.
"I like the fact that I can be that role model. I still think there's a little bit of work to do with promoting fit, not thin. But it's getting there."
Tallking about her daily workout programme, she adds, "I think having a yin and yang (balance) with exercise is the important thing for me. I love to do high intensity training, but I also love to take it easy. I say take it easy, but doing yoga is not easy. Doing something different every day keeps things fresh, exciting and interesting."
Goulding already has an established working relationship with Nike bosses - in 2013 she designed her own Nike FlyKnit sneaker, while she also completed the Nike Women Half Marathon in Washington, D.C.
