Talk show host David Letterman is working on rebuilding his relationship with his wife, six months after admitting to affairs with female members of his staff.
The Late Show host admitted to his infidelity on his late-night chat show last year (09) after he was subjected to an extortion plot by a TV producer and disgruntled ex-boyfriend of one of his mistresses.
The confession came just seven months after he married his longtime partner Regina Lasko. David Letterman admits his revelation rocked his relationship with Regina Lasko, but they are trying to slowly repair their marriage.
The TV personality says, "Because you think an explosion has taken place and you're looking at the shards and you say, 'Well, can we put this back together?' And, by God, maybe you can put it back together. And maybe it won't be the same, but maybe it will be different, and maybe it can even be better in a different way.
"And so right now, that's what we're doing, we're putting the thing back together to see what it's going to look like."
David Letterman and Regina Lasko have a six-year-old son, called Harry.
