Soccer legend David Beckham has sent his best wishes to a fan of his old team Manchester United as she battles an incurable illness.
The former England captain reached out to 19-year-old cystic fibrosis sufferer Chloe Hopkins in a short video message online, saying, "Hi Chloe, it's David Beckham here. I heard from my friend... that you're not very well so I just want to send all of my best wishes and all of my love.
"I hope you get out of hospital soon and I hope you feel better soon. Lots of love. Bye bye."
Chloe, of Manchester, England, has been waiting since July last year (15) for a double lung transplant, although there is no cure for the genetic disease, which results in sufferers' internal organs becoming clogged with mucus.
The British teenager has created a 'bucket list' of things she would like to do before her death, which includes meeting Manchester United soccer players and attending a Stone Roses concert.
