Daniel Craig has shot down reports suggesting he'll be behind a Stormtrooper mask in the new Star Wars film, The Force Awakens.
Pal Simon Pegg started the rumor on the red carpet at the recent London premiere of his new film Man Up, and now Craig has moved to end the speculation, asking Entertainment Weekly, "Why would I ever bother doing something like that?"
The big screen's current James Bond insists he has no interest playing "an extra in another movie".
But he left his EW interviewer confused when he added, "Simon Pegg... obviously knows way more than I do. He's just jealous because he's not in Star Wars. He's got some issue with (director J.J. Abrams). I don't know what the f**k it is. You need to talk to Simon about it."
However, Pegg is involved in the new Star Wars film and features in new trailer footage which was unveiled at Comic-Con in San Diego, California at the weekend (10-12Jul15).
