Actor Colton Haynes is expanding his resume by making his live singing debut at a George Michael tribute concert in New York in April (17).
The Arrow star will be among performers like Tituss Burgess, Cheyenne Jackson, Hamilton star Javier Munoz, Eric Hutchinson, and Jon McLaughlin at the Gotta Have Faith, VH1 Save The Music show at the Highline Ballroom on 24 April (17).
Haynes is not sure what he will be singing, but he is thrilled to be able to perform.
"I'm just so excited to be a part of this because I've been a fan since I was a kid and he's such an iconic inspiration to so many people and never strayed away from his own sound and being himself, and that's so admirable," he tells E! News. "He's made so many people feel deep emotion through his music, myself included and to be a part of this incredible night is truly an honor."
The show will be produced by Madam Secretary's Erich Bergen, who reveals he was adamant to have the 28-year-old perform.
"We're thrilled to have Colton on board," he says. "I had to corner him at Men's Fashion Week and beg him to do this. And he said yes! What a thrill! I'm equally as thrilled about our whole roster of performers. It's gonna be a wild night. Can't wait!"
Michael passed away at the age of 53 in December (16).
