Chrissy Teigen would be a surrogate for close friend Kim Kardashian "in a heartbeat".
Reality star Kim, who has two children with Kanye West, recently opened up about her desire to further extend her family, but admitted it would be difficult for her to do so due to complications with her first two pregnancies.
A recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians saw Kim being advised by two doctors to consider surrogacy, and model Chrissy, who has a six-month-old daughter with husband John Legend, has put herself forward as a potential carrier of the baby.
"I would be her surrogate in a second,” Chrissy told Access Hollywood. “I really enjoyed the pregnancy process - I loved it. Yes. In a heartbeat."
The 30-year-old model turned author also said she understands how difficult the road to extending a family can be, explaining: "I did IVF - science is miraculous these days, anything is possible."
Kim, 36, was seen coming to the conclusion that she would be putting her life at risk if she did fall pregnant for a third time, so told mother Kris Jenner that surrogacy was really the only option if she and Kanye wanted more biological children.
However, Chrissy knows that whatever her pal chooses to do, it will be the right decision for her.
“I hope whatever she does is gonna work out for the best, and it’s gonna be beautiful either way,” she said.
Chrissy has never made a secret of her desire to have multiple children with All Of Me singer John. And she feels she is made all the more aware of her age when she's in Los Angeles, while New York women are much more laid-back about their biological clocks.
“For some reason, when I’m with my L.A. friends, they’re so worried about having a baby on time - ‘Am I too old for a baby?’ ” she said. "In New York, people take their time, they get their career right, they do everything, they take it a little bit slower."
