Charlize Theron played hostess for pal Emily Blunt by throwing the mom-to-be a baby shower on Sunday (29May16).
The British actress and her actor husband John Krasinski are preparing to welcome their second child this summer (16), but before the little one arrives, Emily's The Huntsman: Winter's War's co-star Charlize organized a bash in Los Angeles for some of her closest friends.
Among those in attendance were Charlize's mother Gerda Martiz, actress AJ Johnson, and members of Emily's "glam squad", including her frequent make-up artist and hairstylist.
AJ took to Instagram to post photos from Emily's outdoor garden party, including a shot of herself sitting alongside Charlize and Emily, who wore a festive party hat and posed in front of a cake decorated with small yellow rubber ducks.
"An afternoon of love, laughs and friendship celebrating a special piece of my (heart)," she captioned the snap. "#EmilyBlunt with hostess with the mostess @charlizeafrica."
Although Charlize's four-year-old son Jackson already has a playmate in Emily and John's two-year-old daughter Hazel, the Oscar winner recently revealed he had more of an affinity for his famous mom's onscreen sister.
"My son is in love with Emily," Charlize told news show Extra. "He thinks she's, like, the most beautiful princess ever. It's crazy. I didn't even exist.
"He was just like, 'Ah, she's a princess'. I'm like, 'I'm a queen!'"
But little Jackson was also impressed with his mom's acting skills during a tense scene with his crush.
Emily recalled, "He was watching her close up and she was really going for it, like, and the intensity, and it was just one of those heightened scenes and Jackson was watching her close up and he went, 'Oooh, Mama's spicy'."
"That's my son...," Charlize giggled. "I have no idea where he even came up with that word choice."
Meanwhile, Jackson has a new reason to get excited - pregnant Emily has signed on to voice a role in the My Little Pony movie, and the four-year-old is a huge fan of the beloved TV series.
"Now Jackson is really going to be in love with you," his mom told the British actress during their Extra chat.
