Boxer-turned-movie action man Victor Ortiz has been charged with misdemeanor assault and battery for allegedly beating up a music fan at a Kenny Chesney concert.
The 28-year-old Expendables star was originally arrested last month (Jul15) for assault with a deadly weapon following a fight at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
Initial reports suggested the fighter kicked the unnamed man during an altercation, but the Los Angeles County District Attorney declined to press felony charges and handed the case to the Pasadena City Prosecutor, who has decided to move forward with misdemeanor charges, according to TMZ.com.
Ortiz faces up to a year in jail for each charge if convicted.
His arraignment hearing is scheduled for next week (beg31Aug15).
