Blake Lively posted a sweet tribute to husband Ryan Reynolds following his Hollywood Walk Of Fame star ceremony.
The Age of Adaline actress was on hand with the couple’s two daughters as Ryan received the prestigious honor at the famous Los Angeles location on Thursday (15Dec16). Following the event Blake, 29, took to her Instagram to share her delight at the Deadpool actor becoming a part of such a respected tradition.
“Proud is a pitiful word to describe how I felt today. @vancityreynolds The permanence of your impact is undeniable ...Always has been, but now we have a fancy (star emoji) to show for it,” she wrote alongside a photo showing hers, Ryan’s and two-year-old James’ feet standing around the engraved star. Ryan and Blake were also joined by their other daughter, born in September (16), but have yet to publicly reveal her moniker.
Ryan too extended his gratitude on social media, uploading a picture of himself crouching over the plaque. He thanked the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and 20th Century Fox for bestowing the star to him, describing it as a “pinch me” moment.
Staying true to his witty, and sometimes inappropriate, sense of humor, he finished with: “But not in the creepy way my Aunt used to do it.”
It wasn’t just Ryan, 40, and his family who were excited by the event though; fellow A-lister Hugh Jackman paid tribute to his X-Men Origins: Wolverine co-star in a funny video in which he holds up a cardboard cut out of Ryan’s face in front of his own and talks to the camera.
“@VanCityReynolds asked me to post this 100 per cent real video by him on being honored with a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame today,” Hugh captioned his clip on Twitter.
Hugh introduces himself as "Ryan Reynolds" and puts his Australian accent down to “method acting”, joking: “I’m doing Crocodile Dundee 7, you’re gonna love it.”
