Beyonce has reportedly signed up to star in Bradley Cooper's directorial debut - a remake of the classic movie A Star Is Born.
Editors at New York Post gossip column Page Six report the singer is onboard to star alongside Bradley in the project, but the film won't start shooting until January, 2017.
The classic movie, which was first released in 1937, follows the story of a young singer who goes to Hollywood with dreams of success and is taken under the wing of an alcoholic and troubled actor whose career is on a downward spiral.
The film was remade in 1954 with Judy Garland, and again in 1976 with Kris Kristofferson and Barbra Streisand.
Beyonce was reportedly interested in the remake when it was to be directed by Clint Eastwood, but he later exited the project. Editors at Page Six report the singer was looking for an iconic, dramatic role that would gain similar success to her star turn in the 2006 musical drama Dreamgirls.
Bradley is believed to be in talks with Hollywood producers to gain financial backing for the movie.
Representatives for Bradley and Beyonce and have yet to comment on the report.
