Beyonce's concert in North Carolina on Tuesday night (03May16) was temporarily halted due to a lightning storm.
The 34-year-old singer is currently on the road as part of her Formation World Tour, and took to the stage for an open-air gig at the Carter-Finley Stadium Raleigh on Tuesday.
Beyonce didn't let the rain stop her belting out her biggest hits on the stage but as the weather became more extreme and the lightning began, the star was rushed off stage for safety reasons.
The crowds were evacuated from the venue as the storm raged, but Beyonce's Formation World Tour Twitter page promised the singer wasn't intending to let the storm rain on her parade.
"Again, the show has been temporarily suspended due to lightning in the area. Beyonce plans to come back on stage once the storm passes," the tour tweeted.
"Looks like this band of storms is passing, but there may be more behind. Beyonce wants to finish this show and plans to return. #Raleigh," they added shortly afterward.
Tour promoters Live Nation added that they were hoping to open the gates to the venue by 10.50pm, with Beyonce due back on stage by 11.20pm, weather permitting.
"Thank you for sticking it out, Raleigh! Beyonce wants to give you what you came to see. #FormationWorldTour," her tour Twitter profile wrote.
And the singer certainly didn't disappoint, taking to the stage once again to continue the show after the lightning storm had passed.
Beyonce continued to delight the crowds with some incredible performances, including a rendition of the emotional Halo in the rain to close the show.
"Thank you, Raleigh, for sticking out the weather tonight! Thank you for hosting @PackAthletics! What a show! #FormationWorldTour," the Formation World Tour page tweeted afterward.
Beyonce's next date will see her perform in her hometown Houston, Texas, on 7 May (16).
