Beyonce and Pharrell Williams have helped to raise almost $40,000 (GBP30,400) for The Lung Transplant Project.

The musicians donated some of their items for the Heritage Auctions event to benefit the non-profit agency, which works to raise money and awareness about organ transplant waiting lists.

Beyonce's Formation tour hat was expected to sell for between $1,000 (GBP760) and $2,000 (GBP1,500), but it fetched $27,500 (GBP20,900).

Williams donated two pairs of Adidas sneakers, which sold for $11,375 (GBP8,600). The first pair was signed by the Happy hitmaker and the second will be customised for the winning bidder, according to TMZ.
