Actress Bella Thorne and Gregg Sulkin have split after a year of dating.
Representatives for the now-former couple have released a statement confirming the sad news, revealing that too much time apart led to the break-up.
"After much thought and soul-searching, we have made the difficult decision to end our relationship," the statement to People.com reads. "We will always love each other and have a deep respect for one another, as we have each grown to be better people because of our time together. Our schedules made seeing each other difficult, and we decided that for now this would be best."
The Blended star and Gregg hit headlines last year (Jun15) when they walked the red carpet together at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Canada. While the two initially remained quiet about their relationship, the 18-year-old eventually admitted "it was obvious" they were together.
A source also confirmed the relationship to People last year, saying, "They have known each other for years and spend a lot of time together. They treat each other with a great deal of respect and are really enjoying each other's company."
In May (16), the couple celebrated its one-year-anniversary with a sky-diving trip.
"HAPPY ONE YEAR to this handsome man I'm lucky enough to call mine," Thorne wrote on Instagram.
The redhead split from her longtime boyfriend Tristan Klier in 2014 and she was previously linked to Brandon Lee, the son of actress Pamela Anderson and rocker Tommy Lee, and actor Tyler Posey, who she insisted was just a friend.
