Azealia Banks is demanding another apology from Russell Crowe over an alleged altercation at a weekend (15-16Oct16) dinner party.
The 212 hitmaker took to Facebook on Sunday (16Oct16) and sensationally claimed she had been assaulted by the Australian actor and bombarded with racial slurs in his room at the Beverly Hills Hotel, while sources close to the Gladiator star claim he was the victim of her verbal abuse and threats so he carried her out of the suite and called security to remove her from the building.
The recording artist filed a police report for battery on Sunday (16Oct16) after Crowe ignored her initial calls for an apology, and now she is opening up further about the alleged incident.
Banks claims she was at the hotel for a meeting with rapper RZA, who recently signed her to a record deal, and the Wu-Tang Clan star met up with Russell and some "old Hollywood dudes" for dinner. During the meal, the group started discussing horror movies and after Banks made fun of their films, Russell allegedly turned to her and said, "Hey, you haven't done anything in your career, so you have no right to tell him about horror."
According to Banks, a drunk woman approached her shortly after and became "aggressive" and she responded by telling her, "This is not how this is going to go", adding, "I said, 'If I throw something at you and you get hurt, then the party is going to be done. Then we're all going to look bad and it's going to be a terrible night'."
Banks claims Crowe turned to her and whispered in her ear, "Even if you tried, you wouldn't even get close enough, you n**ger."
"Next thing you know, I'm getting choked up, I'm getting dragged out of this room and spat on," she continues. "I felt betrayed, I felt humiliated, I felt low. It almost felt like a set-up."
Azealia claims no one tried to help her adding she is speaking out because she feels compelled to get her side of the story out. She is also asking Russell to apologize over the alleged encounter, insisting she didn't want to go to police.
"I would like him to apologize to me publicly now because (he) went to TMZ, (like an) idiot," she writes. "I didn't want to press charges because dealing with the police, dealing with the courts is such an inconvenient thing. I don't want this happening. They say I'm doing this for attention. Who wants this kind of attention?
"I'm pretty sure this happens to women in Hollywood so often, where you get chastised into a corner," she continues. "Even his attorney called me and said something like, 'If you say something about this, then you'll never work in this town again.' I'm pressing (charges) now. He doesn't get it. He thinks I'm just some little black girl from Harlem that doesn't have any backing. They think they can just frame me."
Russell has yet to comment on the alleged incident, but sources close to the Australian have protested his innocence to TMZ, claiming Banks insulted several guests, launched into a N-word-laced rant and threatened a guest by saying, "You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real (Quentin)) Tarantino s**t."
The actor retweeted the TMZ story and his comedian pal Jim Jefferies also insisted the account was "100 percent the truth", adding, "I was there, she was out of control. Russell did absolutely nothing wrong."
Beverly Hills Police officials are investigating the incident.
