Dance music superstar Avicii has scrapped the rest of his performances this year (15) so he can take an extended break.
The DJ's representatives tell Billboard.com, the Swede's upcoming gigs in Las Vegas and Japan will be moved to 2016, as part of a "larger tour initiative".
A statement from the Wake Me Up hitmaker reads: "I look forward to keep being innovative with my team in leading a bigger change than just with my music (sic). In moving my tour promotional responsibilities to next year, I have a great opportunity to focus on myself and spend time trying to grow up in a way I never got the chance to - normal, or as normal as it could get.
"My team, label and family have encouraged me to do that and I realize not many in my position get that opportunity."
It is not known if the decision to take a break has anything to do with the health issues that forced the DJ to cancel a string of shows last year (14).
His upcoming September (15) performance slots at the Wynn hotel and casino's Encore Beach Club and XS nightclub in Vegas will be filled by Dillon Francis, Zedd, Diplo and Skrillex.
