A musical version of Robin Williams' 2007 film August Rush is in the works.
The drama starred Freddie Highmore as an orphaned music prodigy who is mentored by a vagrant musician played by Williams, and now the tale is set to get a proper musical treatment.
Tony winner John Doyle is slated to direct the production, while Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark playwrights Glen Berger and Mark Mancina, who composed the film's score, are adapting the story for the stage.
Broadway veterans Terrence Mann, Isabel Keating and Alexander Gemignani are currently involved in the workshop for the production.
