Ariana Grande is a cheap date - her idea of a romantic night out involves driving and Pokemon sightings.
The 23-year-old pop star, who is currently dating rapper Mac Miller, admits she's very easy to please when it comes to hanging out with a boyfriend.
While many might think she's all about champagne and the high life, the Side to Side singer reveals her ideal date night is actually quite a laid-back, chilled affair.
"(I like) random adventures," she tells Entertainment Tonight at the launch of her new fragrance Sweet Like Candy. "Going on drives, looking for Pokemon, going to cute movies, making music."
And she also opened up about falling in love with her latest collaborator, Miller, to the outlet, revealing, "Every day is super exciting. Just waking up and being like, 'Hell yeah!' Do you know what I mean? It's great."
She has been reluctant to talk about Miller of late, publicly chastising Los Angeles DJ Ryan Seacrest for quizzing her about her latest romance, but she tells ET she's coming to terms with the fact fans want to know everything about her.
"I can't really go anywhere (or) do anything now without people seeing and knowing," she explains. "So, it's like, I just need to be OK and just be like, 'Hey, that's OK. If that's what comes with me doing what I love and people hearing my music and responding, then that's OK'."
Meanwhile, the pop star is looking forward to the upcoming live U.S. TV telecast of Hairspray Live! in December (16). She'll play Penny Pingleton in the musical revamp and admits the role is a "dream come true".
"I'm so excited," she tells Entertainment Tonight. "I think it's a really strong message that we need right now.
"It's such a crazy time to be doing that show... with everything that's going on in the world - the intolerance, the ignorance, the hate and ridiculousness. It's just so crazy how this takes place in the '60s and, like, we're still working on all that. It's playful, but also very necessary."
