Filmmaking brothers Joe and Anthony Russo are in early talks to direct a third instalment of the Captain America movie franchise.
Joe Johnson took charge of 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger and handed the reigns over to the siblings for the upcoming sequel, Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The movie does not hit theatres until April (14), but Marvel studio executives are keen to keep the Russos onboard for another follow-up after receiving positive early feedback about the second film, according to TheWrap.com.
Marvel bosses have yet to comment on the news or announce official plans for a third film, but Chris Evans is expected to reprise his role as the titular superhero, with Kevin Feige returning as producer.
